SUBMERSIBLE WELL MOTORS
The FMW4/4SS series submersible motor is water-filled with resin-encapsulated stator. In the FMW4 version the upper support is made of cast iron covered with an AISI 304 stainless steel plate, while in the FMW4SS version the upper support is a monobloc in AISI 304 stainless steel, as are all parts in contact with water. It is asynchronous type, 2-pole, with 24-slot stator and squirrel-cage rotor. Special bearings minimize vibrations, extending the service life of the electric pump.
The resin insulation, with interchangeable cartridge, allows improved motor cooling and in particular better operation when driven by an inverter. The power cable is equipped with a watertight plug, very useful for quick replacement at the installation site. The rotor shaft extension is made of AISI 304 stainless steel up to 3 HP, and for higher power ratings it is made of DUPLEX stainless steel. All motors are tested and inspected at the end of the production line.
