HISTORY

From technical know-how to the third industrial generation

Exa Pumps S.r.l. is a family-owned company specialized in the design and production of submersible electric pumps. Since the very beginning, the priority has always been one: innovation. Technical expertise, research, and continuous development have enabled the company to create products capable of competing in international markets.

In the 1980s, in collaboration with Aturia, the f.el.som® brand was born and the first innovative submersible electric pumps were developed. In 1988, Felsom S.r.l. was founded as an independent company.

Today the company is led by the third generation, which has made dynamism its key strength. Since September 2024, Exa Pumps has been part of the Pentax Industries S.p.A. Group, expanding its portfolio with a complete range of surface, drainage, and industrial pumps.

1980

In the 1980s, the collaboration with Aturia began (a historic company in the sector based in Milan); the f.el.som® brand was born, along with the first innovative submersible electric pumps.

1988

Felsom S.r.l. was founded as an independent company; distribution of products on the Italian market began.

2018

Exa Pumps obtained ISO 9001 (production quality), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (health and safety at work) certifications.

2024

In September, Exa Pumps became part of the Pentax Industries S.p.A. Group, expanding its portfolio with a range of surface, drainage and industrial pumps.

The production facility is located in the industrial area of Gera Lario (CO), at the northern end of Lake Como, approximately one hour from Milan and away from city traffic.

The company operates several warehouses in strategic locations to ensure fast deliveries throughout Italy within one working day.

Since September 2024, Exa Pumps has become part of the group of Pentax Industries S.p.A.: an industrial synergy that has expanded the product portfolio with a complete range of surface, drainage, and industrial pumps.

Exa Pumps is certified according to the integrated quality management system ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in the field of application “Design and manufacturing of submersible electric pumps and solar pumping systems through the processes of design, prototyping, mechanical machining, assembly, testing, and logistics”.

The ISO 9001 standard mainly refers to product quality and production processes; ISO 14001 concerns the environmental management system, ensuring a constant commitment to reducing emissions and the environmental impact of production and logistics; ISO 45001 governs the occupational health and safety management system.
